With Photoshop we have new functions such as content aware and spot healing brushes, which automatically recreates a background base on the metadata of the rest of the background, this makes it much easier to do than in the older versions.
Every digital photographers and designers should find relief with the edge detection function which now makes it much easier to select complex objects such as hair. Also are a better improvement on the brushes such changing the wetness of brushes and a better pressure sensitive function (for those who uses a tablet).

My biggest improve with InDesign for me would have to be the multiple page sizes in one document. Don’t know why it took so long for this to happen, but so glad its finally there. As well as an improvements of the incorporation of multimedia into the program – you can now actually do those SWF page flips now straight from InDesign, but only if you export as an swf file (doesn’t work as interactive PDF).

Illustrator has a cool width stroke tool that allows the changing of the width of the strokes and a perspective grid tool which makes it easier when you need to design something that requires distance such as buildings. Another cool effect is shape builder which allows the blending of simple shapes together easily to create a complex shape, in the past you would have to use pathfinder tool and/or scissor and eraser tool to do this.
